1983 was the year when India's economy was limited to India. At the same time, Doctor Pratap Reddy, who left his bright future in America and returned to India, was thinking about what could be done. He clearly saw the gulf between the medical system in America and the medical system existing in India at that time. At the age of 50, he decided to take the medical service of India to a new height. As a part of it, he established a corporate private hospital with 150 beds for the first time in India. The name of which was 'Apollo Hospital'. The beginning of anything is easy, but the task of growing that sapling into a tree is the most difficult. The same small sapling planted by his father has been transformed into a huge banyan tree today by his four powers of Durga. Today, the network of Apollo Hospitals has been woven in 140 countries of the world. More than 10,000 beds, 400 clinics, more than 5000 pharmacies spread across the world. India alone has as many as 53 hospitals with the capacity to accommodate more than 8000 patients. Pritha Reddy, Sunita Reddy, Shobhana Kamineni and Sangeetha Reddy are the Durgashakti who transformed Dr. Pratap Reddy's sapling into a giant banyan tree.
Dr. Reddy was despised by the white society for having four daughters except one. People teased him and said,
'Poor Reddy has four daughters and no son to help run his company'...
But these four girls proved that a girl is not less in any field by hanging the ideologies of the white society on the gate. If she takes the form of Durga, she can transform a small sapling into a banyan tree. Today, Apollo Hospital's revenue has crossed Rs 14,000 crore (nearly US$ 2 billion). These four daughters of Dr. Reddy are strengthening the foundation of this banyan tree and expanding its spread rapidly not only in India but all over the world. Not only money is involved in this but they have also played a major role in getting Apollo Hospitals ISO 14001 and 0991 world class quality certificates. Apart from this, 8 hospitals in India have received the Joint Commission International accreditation certificate, which is considered as a standard in the hospital sector.
But this journey was not easy for all four. It was a great bow to carry on the path that his father had reached. He got the opportunity to experience his father's journey closely from his childhood. Even after leaving school, all four of them used to go to the hospital with their father and help their father as best they could. From that, She absorbed the baby of this business. How does a corporate hospital work? She quickly understood all the problems that were coming, be it medical or administrative. After completing her Masters in Public Administration, Pritha took on the administrative work of the hospital. Shobhana has shouldered the responsibility of planning, designing and implementing in pharmacy and insurance business. She became a director of Apollo Munich Health Insurance.
Sangeeta took IT responsibility and clinic network. As part of this responsibility, she shouldered responsibility for research, innovation and healthcare related initiatives. Apart from this, Human Resource Department of Apollo Hospital and I. T. She took full responsibility of the functions of the department. Sunita, on the other hand, took on the responsibility of managing the day-to-day business of the hospitals and managing the financial aspects of the company. In addition, she is responsible for optimizing profitability by making all decisions on corporate strategy, finance, funding, and leverage of investments and mergers.

According to the employees who work with her, she has four friends rather than sisters. Even though they are married, their husbands are detached from this business. Without hiding or subduing the name of their father or their husbands, these four sisters have proved their own existence through their achievements.
These four Durga Shakti's who built their empire on the world map by building the empire of Apollo Hospitals and expanding it further are the epitome of what Indian women can do.
