There are certain areas in the male dominated society where women still have no access. Even if any woman enters it, she is looked at differently in the society. In a country with a patriarchal social system like India, this difference is even more pronounced. For many centuries there was a trend in India that women should pay attention to the house while men should do outside work i.e. manual labor. The patriarchal social system of India was shaken in a way only when the woman who was engrossed in hearth and child started to go beyond the confines of the home in modern India. Facing all that, the social system had no choice but to accept the woman after proving her achievements in all fields. But in the last few years, when India is moving towards self-reliance, even the areas that have been isolated from women have been marking her. Durga Shakti of self-reliant India has shown today that we are not less than anyone else with our achievements in the same field.

The 'Men in Blue' are very famous in the game of cricket in India. But now the 'woman in blue' has started a revolution in a different field, that is the field of car manufacturing. India's largest auto maker company 'Tata Motors' is at the forefront of this. Tata Motors started giving opportunities to women on the shop floor 48 years ago in 1974. The then Tata Group Chairman J.R.D. Tata chose a woman engineer for the first time for his factory in Pune. That engineer is 'Sudha Murthy'. Today's history tells us that the first step taken by the Tata Group was revolutionary in thinking that women should be given an equal place in the social system. The entire journey from engineer to car making assembly line was not easy for the Tatas and the Durgashakti who worked there. But independent India's Durga Shakti has shown that when Durga Shakti decides, she can do anything.

As a worker, women had to change many things at different levels while working in the assembly line. The biggest problem was mental. The fact that women would work as workers in the work of making a car was not digestible to the 'Men in Blue', so it was opposed. Time and quality are very important in any industry. It was the biggest achievement for those women workers to manage to produce cars in the shortest possible time while maintaining the quality standards. A complete system change was needed to make the change that women could produce cars while meeting quality standards in the same time frame as men. The first issue was 'skill development'. Another important issue was security. Even from restrooms, toilets, locker rooms to night and night working 24 hours, women needed to work on many different aspects like security, sexual harassment, healthcare while inside the company till they go home.

She needed the right support, confidence and all these things to do the work which a woman has never done before. With the help of schemes like the National Employability Enhancement Mission (NEEM) of the Government of India, the Tata Group started the first batch of women in its factory in Pune. When the 'women in blue' began to produce tods for men, these Durga Shaktis were gradually entrusted with the responsibility of even greater work. Today two famous cars of Tata Motors are being manufactured by 'Women in Blue'. More than 1500 Durgashakti manufactures very high quality cars like Tata Safari and Tata Harrier. Women in Blue are producing more than 2000 cars of each model every month. This story does not end here but begins here. Work is underway to increase the participation of women in the Tata Group to 25% in the next 4-5 years. Looking at the productivity of Woman in Blue, M.G. (Morris Garage), a car manufacturing company, has introduced an all-female assembly line at its factory. M.G. The company has clarified that 50,000 cars of India's famous car model Hector have been made by all women. C.A.T. (CEAT), a tire manufacturer, has opened all-women shops across India. In which all tire work is done by women. Even changing the wheels, balancing the wheels and even operating the machinery she needs.

Today in self-reliant India, women are making their mark even in areas where they are forbidden or told not to do manual labour. According to me, 'Woman in Blue' is the beginning of a new revolution. All women who are part of that revolution are a form of Durga Shakti. This journey is not as easy as it seems. Your home, education, Apart from this, my strong salute to all these Durga Shaktis who bring drastic changes in the system of society by taking care of menses every month. Today is the last day of Navratri and tomorrow the festival of Vijayadashami will be celebrated. On this occasion, let us loot the gold of all these Durga Shakti's efforts, stubbornness, thoughts, their journey. All these days, my best wishes for the journey ahead of the unknown Durgashakti!!!
