Two days ago, India launched Agni 4 or I.R. B. M. Successfully tested an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). What exactly did this test of Agni 4 achieve? Why are Agni series missiles so important? It is important to know this.

The launch of the Agni Missile Series was due to the progress made by China in this area. In the 1960s, China acquired nuclear capability with the help of Russia. It took 70 decades for India to acquire nuclear capability. China had made great strides in this area due to its good leadership. India, however, as an advocate of peace, remained indifferent in this matter. That's why China took a leap in missile technology in the 1980s and 1990s. Then India's scars hit. India needed to emerge as a powerful nation to counter China's growing dominance. This is the challenge facing India. D.R.D.O. then president Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Recognized this. After he made the political leadership aware of this, India started working on missile technology. This project of India was named 'Agni' which is one of the 5 elements of nature.

Agni missile technology was developed in stages. The first missile in the series, Agni 1, was first tested in 1989. Initially, it had a range of 700 to 2000 kilometers. In the next stage, Agni 2, Agni 3, Agni 4, Agni 5 and Agni 6 along with Agni Prime are being developed. Agni missiles are capable of carrying nuclear warheads alongside conventional warheads. That is why Agni series missiles are very important for India to control China.

Two days ago, India last night tested the Agni 4 missile in the Agni series. This test was part of a user trial. This meant that the missile was intended to test the capabilities of the people and the organizations that would use it, and to see how well the missile was performed. Agni 4 is an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) as written on the missile. This missile is capable of carrying a conventional or nuclear warhead up to 4000 kms with a weight of 800-1000 kgs. In the current test, the missile has hit its target at a distance of 4000 km within 100 meters. Besides, the missile was not just a nuclear warhead. All other systems were real. All of these systems work successfully in the dark at night, making the test a success. The missile had undergone several modifications. It was the first to use composite material as well as modern motor systems and laser guided navigation systems. This not only reduces the weight but also increases the accuracy.

The Agni 5 missile is also in the advanced stage of deployment. Its user trials will start soon. India is deliberately underestimating the potential of Agni 5. Many defense experts privately say that Agni 5 is capable of hitting targets at a distance of 8000 km. D.R.D.O. Agni 6 is also being built and its capacity will be to see the target at a distance of 12,000 km. It will have the capacity to carry 10 different (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles) nuclear warheads weighing 3000 kg. Once a missile is fired, we will be able to carry out nuclear attacks on 10 different targets simultaneously.

The test of fire has once again shown the world that India is ready for any situation. For the past few months, India has been conducting continuous missile tests. These tests of the world's best missile technology, such as BrahMos and Agni, are strengthening India's global position. Congratulations to all the scientists, engineers, staff, DRDO, Bharat Dynamic Limited as well as their subsidiaries, consultants and other contractors behind these tests and best wishes for their future endeavors.

Jai Hind !!!
