“No country in the world is giving us money for fuel and coal. Only India is giving "... Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sri Lankan PM

This statement made by the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka yesterday is once again underlining the role of India's Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam on the world map. Sri Lanka is currently going through a very difficult situation. In the next six months, Sri Lanka needs  6 billion USD to run the country. India alone is responsible for providing 3.5 billion USD. India will provide aid to Sri Lanka in the form of medicine, diesel, fertilizer, coal and other essential commodities. When the whole world has turned its back on Sri Lanka. Then India alone stands for its neighbor. The Sri Lankan Prime Minister went on to say that there are limits to how much India can help. People in India are asking why we are helping Sri Lanka when our country is in trouble.

Based on a statement made by a party spokesperson, Arab nations are currently pursuing an agenda against India. Basically, after the statement of one party spokesperson got so much air, different politics is being played on the world stage. It has the hand of some political leaders in India. All these gods have been put in the water for the sake of tarnishing the image of India and for our political gain. The country will sink, but our party should grow. This is the role of many political leaders. The real reason behind the Arab nations taking this role is the politics of oil.

India imports about 70% -80% of its daily oil requirements. To this day, we had to rely on Arab nations to meet his natural needs. India was getting about 50% -60% of oil from Arab nations including Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE. The rest of the need was met by African nations, the United States and South American countries. Russia's share was only 1%. Anyway, India has the largest refineries in the world. No country in the world can hold India's hand in producing petroleum products from crude oil. The Indian Reliance's Jamnagar refinery is the largest in the world. Reliance's refinery processes 1.2 million barrels of oil per day. (12 lakh barrels, 1 barrel is 158 liters). 80% of the products produced from this i.e. diesel, petrol are exported to the world. It is followed by the Nayara Refinery on the west coast of India, which has the largest capacity in the world. Apart from this, refineries of many companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum are producing other products from crude oil in India.

Until now, these companies have been importing crude oil from Arab nations, processing it and exporting it to India and the world. But in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war, many things changed on the world stage. Many nations in the world have imposed sanctions on Russia's crude oil. India has always been a friend of Russia. India took a neutral stance on Russia at all levels without succumbing to international pressure. Russia, aware of its ally's help, allowed India and Indian companies to buy crude oil at 40 USD cheaper than the international crude price, as well as in rupee and ruble. Of course, Russia has an advantage. Internationally, Russian oil, which lost markets across Europe, including the United States, Australia and Japan, was not getting a buyer. That is why Russia decided to sell the oil cheaply to China and India, the two largest countries in the world.

India and Indian companies benefited from the fact that while the price of oil was going up to 130 USD per barrel in the international market, Russian crude oil became available to India at about 2/3 of this price. India and Indian oil companies then began importing large quantities of Russian crude oil. No country in the world has been able to stop India from buying this oil because of its neutrality and weight in the international arena. In May alone, India imported 8,40,645 barrels / day of oil from Russia. In April, the figure was 3,88,666 barrels per day. Now, in one month, India has more than doubled its imports from Russia. In May 2021, the figure was 1,36,774 barrels / day. This shows how fast India is turning to Russian crude oil. India will import about 10,50,000 barrels / day of oil in June 2022, but in the following month, more crude oil orders were placed by Indian companies with Russia.

Now the sadness of the Arab nations has come to the fore. The rate at which India is turning to Russian oil. At that rate, the Arab nations' dependence on oil is rapidly diminishing. Arab nations cannot afford to lose such a large customer base. At the same time, Indian oil companies will be able to sell crude oil products cheaper than in other countries. (Note that Russia offers a discount of 40 USD per barrel.) Indian companies are seeing a huge increase in profits. India is selling this product to the whole world including USA, Australia, Europe. Indian companies exported 3.37 million barrels of diesel to the world in March alone. Indian oil companies, which have refineries, are expected to make a profit of 40 billion USD this year. Due to high profit margins of Indian companies, naturally Indian companies can sell them cheaper than other countries. This is hurting the Arab nations. The Arab nations have played a ploy to tarnish India's image in order to stop it. His own political leaders are supporting him from some countries and some from abroad. While these things have not tarnished India's image, there is no denying that these countries have had the opportunity to speak out about India.

Politics based on religion is bad on both sides. All politicians, party workers and party office bearers need to keep in mind that it tarnishes its own image as a country. The statement did not help but benefit the Arab nations against India. Of course, India has rightly registered its protest. But overall, the economic aspect is more important than religion in all these controversies. The rapid movement of Indian winds towards Russian crude hurts the stomachs of Arab nations. In the global petroleum market, the salty winds have now been replaced by the Matalai winds. Which are going to bring a storm with you. Due to the possibility of which the Arab nations have already begun to form a front.

I would not be surprised if there are more attempts to tarnish India's image in the near future. Reason money speaks. The Arab world, which is economically dependent on crude oil alone, will be hit the hardest by these changed winds. My guess is that they could go to any lengths to stop his progress.

Jai Hind !!!
