'Khatron Ke Khiladi' Padma Shri recipient... Vinit Vartak ©
Actors who fight many enemies simultaneously and make many difficult things easy in the film are known as heroes by everyone. Many viewers are very attracted to his 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' image. But in reality, the personal life of these artists is very different. But still they are hero to many. But in actual Khatron Ke Khiladi, are facing many hardships on a daily basis. Often they never come in the eyes of common people like us. Two such Khatron Ke Khiladi names have been included in this year's Padma honors list. The popularity of there act was heard not only in India but across the seas in America. After that, there name started to be discussed all over the world. After all this happened, India honored him with the Padma Shri this year. They are Khatron Ke Khiladi from Tamil Nadu 'Vadivel Gopal' and 'Masi Sadayan'.
Both Vadivel Gopal and Masi Sadayan belong to the tribal community of Irula. This community has a historical connection with snake and rat catching. The knowledge of catching snakes and rats creatively has been passed down from generation to generation. This knowledge is not only about catching them but also about the wild herbs that can be used to reduce the inflammation of venomous snake bites and save a person's life. The establishment of the Irula Snake Catchers Industrial Co-operative Society in 1978 made the community the only official organization providing antivenom in India. That's why in a country like India where snakebite deaths are high, the expertise and knowledge of the Irula community is invaluable in saving lives.
Vadivel Gopal and Masi also started catching snakes from childhood. There skill in catching dangerous and poisonous snakes was admirable. They were called upon to catch poisonous snakes in many places. In this situation, they became famous as the pair of Khatron Ke Khiladi and were invited to many states. they saved many lives by catching poisonous snakes in many places. The traditional way of catching snakes in the absence of any formal education was baffling to many. But in the same way they protected himself from snake bites and caught many poisonous snakes.
About 2 years ago, Burmese pythons were rampant in the state of Florida in the United States. About 800 snake catchers from around the world were called to Florida to control these extremely dangerous pythons. There was an invitation to Vadivel Gopal and Masi Sadayan. Vadivel Gopal and Masi Sadayan captured 14 highly endangered pythons in the next 10 days and showcased their talent in front of the US official. This pair caught the most pythons out of the 800. Impressed by his snake-catching technique, American officials requested them to teach the same technique to the American people. As they teach there knowledge in America, later they were invited from many other countries of the world. Snake experts were invited from Thailand to teach.
After impressing everyone with their talent here in America, Thailand, the pair of Khatron Ke Khiladi brought their traditional technique of catching snakes from many countries to the world but beyond that they taught many people of the world to catch extremely poisonous snakes. From a tribal and society structure of India, They spread there skills all over the world and from that they took the name of his society and for that matter India very high in this field.
Recognizing his work, the Government of India has selected them for this year's Padma award. Wadivel Gopal and Maasi Sadayan's journey of Khatron Ke Khiladi is not only for their talent but also inspiring many for the changes in the social structure and Indian democracy. Over the last few years, the definition of Padma honor has been changing. A person who were at the bottom of the society becomes the recipient of the Padma honor due to his achievements. So all those journeys create an image of India which becomes a milestone to take India's name higher in the world. My strongest salute to Khatron Ke Khiladi Vadivel Gopal and Masi Sadayan. Best wishes for their future journey.
Jai Hind!!!
